Mertensi Carpet Anemones (Stichodactyla mertensii) thrive under moderate to high lighting, moderate, turbulent flow, and excellent water quality. They prefer attaching their foot securely into rock crevices while spreading their oral disc across nearby rockwork. A mature, stable reef aquarium is recommended for long-term success. Occasional feedings of shrimp, silversides, or other meaty marine foods can encourage healthy growth, vibrant coloration, and continued expansion.
