Acanthophyllia are one of the most sought-after large polyp stony (LPS) corals in the hobby. They thrive in low to moderate lighting, low, gentle flow, and stable water parameters. Their large fleshy tissue can be damaged by excessive flow, so they do best resting on the sand bed or another stable surface where they can fully inflate. Occasional feedings of small meaty foods can encourage growth and help maintain their vibrant coloration.
